The Last Breakthrough

Channel 8 every weekend @ 7pm
The setting of this series was phenomenal, which is a big change from the Hong Kong skyscraper city we usually see in serials, with location filming in exotic places such as Africa (Kenya), which provides breathtaking views of the African plains and mountains. Other areas filmed were Guangxi (in China), that provides views of the forests and forested mountains in the area, and the tribes that live there. This series provides a view in which a place where there is full of poverty could be beautiful. Placing an international medical humanitarian organisation which is called “Life Force” in these poorer areas was an ingenious idea to demonstrate that such organisations exist today, to provide the poor with basic medical needs and assistance. This series teaches the audience that we should be happy in the place we're living in, and that we should treasure and live life to its fullest (and treasure the people around us). We should help the poor as much as we can, so that everyone in this world could live happier and healthy lives. But this takes a lot of hard work to accomplish, and that is why more people should volunteer in these organisations and have more of them, such as “Life Force,” to make the world a better place. This series is such an encouragement for people to go off to poverty-stricken areas, and try to help the people in need as much as we can.

An encouraging and touching show, romance apart, i believe the show have moved me to want to make life more meaningful & beautiful. I realise how fortunate i am compared to many in 3rd world or war countries. If you feel the same way don't hestitate to start from small, check out this website where you can volunteer yourself in area of your interests:
